I was born in Calgary, Canada, to a Finnish mother and English father. The marriage between them did not last more than a couple of years, so I would grow up an only child. Despite my broken up family which was scattered in Finland, Canada and England, I was a happy child as far as my relationship with my parents and relatives was concerned. But constant moving around during childhood (11 different homes) and switching between two countries took a toll on my confidence, thus I would grow up quite isolated from other children. Not a bad thing though, for that isolation drove me to draw, draw and draw some more. It's also nice to be have an independant personality because of that.
